Cart discounts provide your team with the flexibility they need to quickly apply discounts that help you to increase sales and ensure customers keep coming back for more. Cart discounts can be created to apply to the whole sales cart or to individual items. These discounts are created in the dashboard and then are available to apply at the register.

Common examples of cart discounts:

• Seniors' discount. 
• Veterans' discount.
• Industry discount.
• 10% off.

Creating a Cart Discount

1. Navigate to Inventory Management on the KlickTrack Dashboard.
2. Select Discounts.
3. Select the blue + to create a new discount.
4. Select 🛒Cart Discount.
5. Enter Discount Nickname.
6. Select Discount Type.
   
   
    
   • Percent (Applies to the total sale amount) 
     • Example: Take 10% off the whole purchase. Took $4 off a $40 purchase.
   • Item Percent (Applies to single items only)
     • Example: Take 20% off a single item. Took $8 off a $40 item.
   • Enter Amount (Applies to the total sale amount)
     • Example: Enter any value. Took $3 off a $40 purchase.
   • Enter Item Amount (Applies to single items only) 
     • Example: Select the item to apply any value discount. Took $5 off a $40 item.
        
7. Enter Discount Value.
8. Toggle ON to enable discount.
9. Select Save.

Applying a Cart Discount at the Register

1. Refresh the register by selecting the refresh symbol 🔃.
2. Add a customer to the sale (if applicable).
3. Scan or select the product.
4. Select the percentage % in the upper right-hand corner.

5. Select the appropriate cart discount.

6. Select Total Savings to view the discount applied.

7. Complete the sale.

Troubleshooting: Removing Cart Discounts

1. Select Total Savings at the bottom right-hand corner.
2. Select the discount to be removed.
3. Select Remove.
