Below is a comprehensive list of Best Practices for upgrading KlickTrack's Register App on your iPads. While it is not always necessary to take all of the steps outlined below, it's the best way to ensure a seamless upgrade.
For instance, for most Register App Upgrades, KlickTrack makes changes to back-end files that will make clearing cache off the register helpful to load each screen uninterrupted. With iPad apps, the only way to clear cache is through deleting and re-downloading the app.
Plan accordingly:

If you have not done so already, please be sure to turn off auto-update on each of your iPad. This ensures that your iPad will not auto-update mid-shift, which can cause issues.

If your App has updated mid-shift, please read: How to Clear Cache off the Register App.

Download the Register app update PRIOR to the start of your day or AFTER your shift ends to prepare for the following day. Do NOT download app updates mid-shift.
The Night Before
When you close your store and all open drawers are closed, take the following steps:

Log out of the Register App on each iPad

Delete Register App off each iPad

Turn OFF each iPad

Go to your Back Office and remove these Device names from the Device list.
The Day of your Upgrade
Before your start your day:

Turn ON each IPad

Re-Download the Register App

Re-register your device.

Re-connect your register drawers to your scanner devices
