If your shop loses internet connectivity, the KlickTrack App has a feature called Offline Mode that saves and queues sales locally (on the device) then allows you to submit those sales once the network connection has been reestablished. If your connectivity drops, KlickTrack will automatically go into Offline Mode. Stay on track even when the Wi-Fi isn't cooperating!
How to use Offline Mode:
1) If your internet connection is disabled the App will automatically go into Offline Mode, alerting you and allowing you to attempt a network refresh (red circle arrow). If the refresh is unsuccessful, close the alert message by tapping the x. You are now in Offline Mode.
2) While in Offline Mode, the App will no longer be able to push or pull information through the network, but you will be able to use the register with reduced functionality to create and complete sales.
- The Scanner App also requires Wi-Fi access and will therefore cease to submit data while the Register device is in Offline Mode
- While in Offline mode, the only way to add Products to the cart is by manually searching for a Product or SKU using the π Search Products search bar
- Searchable Products are limited to the last list of Products pulled into the local memory of the device before network connection was lost, so any updates made in Back Office will not be reflected on the device until network connection is restored
- Only non-zero quantity Products are searchable with theπ Search Products search bar
3) When completing a sale, you will be prompted to enter the customer's loyalty information. Add the email or phone number that is associated with the customer's KlickTrack profile. When the network connection is reestablished and the Offline sale has been submitted, this phone number or email will be used to attach the sale to the loyalty member.
From there the sales process is the same as a normal sale. When you complete the transaction it will be stored in local device memory.
While in Offline Mode, you can view offline sales from the App by tapping the red, crossed-out Wi-Fi symbol in the top-left corner of the Register page. From here, if needed, you can delete sales using the trashcan icon.
4) Once your device reconnects to the local network, it will automatically switch back to the layout to which you are accustomed. Navigate to the App Controls menu (three dots top-left) and tap "Review & Submit Offline Sales".
5) Tap each sale, review the amount, and submit it. The sale will be posted based on the time the Offline Mode sale was submitted.
That's it! The Offline Mode sale cycle is complete.
