KlickTrack 2.2.8

On Monday, April 5, 2021, at 1 am PST KlickTrack will update the Back Office with the latest version 2.2.8. On Tuesday, April 6, 2021, at 1 am PST the latest Register App 2.2.8 will be available to download in the Apple Store.

Note: On April 5, 2021, we will send a reminder including best practices for updating the Register App version without any interruptions to service.

KlickTrack version 2.2.8 is focused primarily on reliability and security in preparation for the upcoming 4/20 holiday. This includes changes into how user access is granted, changed, and removed.

This release also includes new optimizations and features to help streamline your business such as a new Pin Lock, the ability to Edit Drawer Amounts, and more!

Optimization & Features

Security Enhancements

Pin Timer setting replaced with two new settings

  1. Lock Register After A Sale Is Complete requires a user pin after each sale.
  2. Idle Lock Register allows you to require a pin after a set amount of time with no register interaction. The Idle timer will reset each time you unlock, click, scroll, add/remove cart items, or type on the keypad.

We recommend setting at least 30 seconds of idle time.

New Feature

Manifest Item Description

Item Descriptions will now display on Incoming Manifests (When available from the government)
  • Many times the strain and product weight is only included in the description. We now display directly on the incoming manifest for faster processing.

  • Note: This will display for Incoming Manifests moving forward after this release.

New Feature

Detach Drawer from Register

  • Detach a Linked Device from the Drawer Detail page.

  • This is helpful for any time you need to take the cash drawer off of the Sales Floor and count cash away from that Register.  If you detach a drawer, you no longer need to reassign the Drawer to another device nor wait for your Drawer to end before you open a new Drawer on that device.

New Feature

Drawer Correction

  • Ability to adjust drawer actions such as Start Balance, End Balance, and Paid-In & Paid-out amounts, including after the Drawer has Ended.  Must be a manager in order to make these changes.
  • KlickTrack still records the original drops for money management and auditing purposes.
Option 1: Devices > Device > scroll to the bottom and click the “Actions” tab. Then click on a specific action to Increase or Decrease the amount. You can also make these changes from the active drawer page on a register device.

Option 2:  Store Analytics > Drawer History > Edit Report Range > Click on Drawer > scroll to the bottom and click the “Actions” tab. Then click on a specific action to Increase or Decrease the amount.

Optimization

Navigation Changes

  • Dashboard Menus are now listed alphabetically.

  • Devices on the Devices page are now grouped by Device Type and then listed alphabetically.

  • Drawers on the Drawers page are now grouped by Linked and Unlinked devices.

  • The drawer detail screen now separates out transactions on the Register under “Sales” and drawer actions such as Start Drawer, End Drawer, and Pay-outs are under “Actions”.

  • You can no longer change user roles under “Edit Users” and must navigate to “App Users” > Click on User > “Change Roles”.

Optimization & Features

Register Enhancements

Drawers can only be attached to Registers

  • By design, Drawers can only be associated with a Register Device. Read more about KlickTrack Device Types here.

  • Any non-register Devices with open cash drawers will now display the below error message. To resolve this issue you need to go to a back-office device and end the drawer referenced in the error message. Or switch the device type to a "register".

NOTE: If you have a workflow where you are dropping drawers to any Device Type other than a Register, for example to Fulfillment or Back Office, you can now use the Detach Device from Open Drawer feature instead of reassigning the Device.

Device Type will replace the label Cash Register

  • All devices with access to active inventory and queue will display the device type. Fulfillment devices will now display "Fulfillment" and only Register Devices will display “Cash Register”.

Optimized user login and authentication

  • Optimized authentication implemented to clear up any verification issues during login or switch users by reducing dependencies within the local app. Any previous access issues will be cleared up.

Best Practices

Seamless Register Upgrades

Plan accordingly:

  • If you have not done so already, please be sure to turn off auto-update on each of your iPads.

  • Download the Register app update PRIOR to the start of your day or AFTER your shift ends to prepare for the following day. Do NOT download app updates mid-shift.

The Night Before

When you close your store and all open drawers are closed, take the following steps:

  1. Disconnect the Scanner app from each iPad.

  2. Log out of your Register App on each iPad.

  3. Delete Register App off each iPad.

  4. Turn OFF each iPad.

  5. Go to your Back Office and remove these Device names from the Device list.

Before the start of your day

  1. Turn ON each IPad

  2. Re-Download the Register App

  3. Re-register your device.

  4. Re-connect your Scanners
