There are four types of drawer actions in KlickTrack: Safe Drops and End Drops, and Pay Ins and Pay Outs.
📑 Drawer terminology & definitions:
Pay In
- Money that is put into the till.
- Performed to account for cash put into the register drawer that is not associated with sales.
- Recorded in the Drawer History and Drawer Drops Report.
Pay Out
- Money that is taken out from the deposit.
- Performed to account for cash not taken into the register drawer from a sale or money taken out of the drawer for a shop expense.
- Recorded in the Drawer History report.
Safe Drops
- Used to move cash from the sales floor to the back office safe.
- Accounted for in the Active Drawer tab.
- After performing a Safe Drop the active drawer of a register is still open for transactions.
End Drops
- Used to close a drawer.
- Drop the final amount of cash from a drawer.
- After performing an End Drop, the active drawer is closed and a new drawer will have to be started to use the register.
Register Drawer Actions - Pay In or Pay Out
- Select Active Drawer.
- Select the blue + icon.
- Select Pay In or Pay Out as the payment type.
- Enter Pay In or Pay Out Amount.
- Select OK.
- Select Pay.
Dashboard Drawer Actions - Safe Drop
- Select Drawers.
- Select Drawer.
- Select the blue + icon.
- Enter Pay Safe Drop Amount.
- Select OK.
- Select Pay.
Dashboard Drawer Actions - End Drop
- Select Drawers.
- Select the drawer that needs to end.
- Select red End.
- Enter Drop Amount.
- Enter Left in Drawer Amount.
- Enter Note.
- Select End.
