Closing a drawer is how you’ll balance out the cash in each drawer at the end of an employee’s shift or the end of the day, making any edits as needed. Having strong closing procedures helps to ensure accurate cash management, prevent mishandling of money, and ensure reliable accounting records.

Closing Drawer FAQ
What should the left-in drawer amount be when ending a drawer?
-
The Left In Drawer amount is typically the same as the Start Balance and should reflect the hard count of cash in the drawer after the end drop. The Default Drawer Start Amount is predetermined by the account Admin in the App Settings section.
Ex. At the end of the day, if there's $100 left in the drawer, even if you dropped $10 more than expected, enter $100 into this field. The difference in cash will be accounted for in the Drawer History report on the Klicktrack dashboard.
