Proper inventory management isn't just about making sure there are enough products on the shelves, but also making sure that every piece of your inventory is correctly associated with the correct vendors and has the right price. KlickTrack's Inventory Management ensures that every piece of your inventory is associated correctly and if it is missing a critical piece of information then it can be found in the Data Cleanup Page of your KlickTrack Dashboard.

What is Data Cleanup?

The Data Cleanup page is a list of lots/tags/SKUs that lack one or more of the following attributes:

  • No product set - Needs a product name attached

  • No unit set - Needs a weight unit/price attached

  • No cost set - Needs cost attached

From this screen, you'll be able to click on the inventory barcode and assign a product or unit of measure.

Note: This tile only appears if you have inventory that is missing a Product Name or Unit of Measure, which should be rare.

Why did my barcodes end up on the Data Cleanup?

The primary reasons these lots show up in Data Cleanup are:

  1. Incomplete data was initially provided (for instance Cost and Price should never be assumed).

  2. The initial Manifest Freeze during Onboarding wasn't followed strictly and some inventory was received in your previous POS between the initial inventory being provided and the final inventory update.

  3. KlickTrack's Engineering Team manually imported lots because of an issue with the state integration.

Note: If products are received in your previous POS during the manifest freeze then KlickTrack does not know which name the product belongs to.

What should I do from here?

Typically, you or someone on your inventory team will go through the full list of barcodes on the Data Cleanup, click on each barcode to open, and add the missing information. If you no longer have these items in stock, you'd then go through each of the items and adjust them out like normal.

PRO TIP: Regularly checking the Data Clean-Up section of your KlickTrack Back Office will ensure that all of your products are associated correctly and are available for sale.
